Here is a recent image from a sea cave in the Pismo Beach area in California. It had been a clear day but was fortunate to have some clouds roll in close to sunset.

All thoughts and comments are welcome.

Nice composition and great dynamics. I would work a little on a separation between sky and cave. To do that I would try would be to add a little of vignette to reduce amount of details inside the cave and brighten some of the highlights on the water and sky. Great cave shot anyway. Looks like you had a lot of fun getting in there.

Thanks you guys! I am glad you liked the shot!

Of course the first thing is just watching the tide for a while and seeing just how much it was coming in and then receding. It was at a point where that as it was flowing in it was just a foot or so at the entrance. I was wearing water shoes and pants, as I always expect to get wet when shooting at the beach. At its biggest it was hitting me up to my knees as the tide was rising. Shortly after this shot I actually got out of there and ran a short bit down the beach to another larger sea cave as the clouds were more to the north and that view out of this sea cave wasn't letting me see those clouds turn pink.

I got wet for sure, but I always made sure to be watchful and careful while waiting to move when the tide was during its lower ebbs so I could see where I wanted to step and walk.

Glad you liked this shot. Yeah, it was fun finding this too. I was just out exploring and came across this one and one larger one. I am sure many others have shot from this location too as it's not hidden, but it was fun just to find it on my own.

Thanks so much Dean! The water movement was varied between several shots and it was hard to pick a favorite but I finally settled on the look in this one.
