I dont shoot wildlife often but the Bald eagle migration at Boundary Bay, BC is in full swing with some spectacular display from these majestic birds of prey. I took a few snaps last Thursday before the snow storm.
Taken with the Canon 5dsr and 70-200 f4 IS iso 1200

Not so many owls this year for some reason but the Bald eagles are in record numbers, No snowy owls at all, i wonder if or when they will return.

Your shots got me interested in bald eagles. Looked it up to see how huge bald eagle wing span can get.

A female bald eagle's body length varies from 35 to 37 inches; with a wingspan of 79 to 90 inches. The smaller male bald eagle has a body length of 30 to 34 inches; with a wingspan ranging from 72 to 85 inches. An eagle's average weight is ten to fourteen pounds.

Thank you for the info, Yes they have a huge wing span! They are very impressive birds!

Here is another interesting fact, Eagles fly 30 to 55 mph and dive at over 100 mph!
