Price: $800.00 Payment method: PayPal Item condition: 6 Useable, but has considerable optical or mechanical imperfections
Note: The actual impact of the front element defects are minimal in most images. I have posted an example of about the worst case scenario (dark suit, high contrast scene). I used this lens in 10 weddings this season and only had very, very happy clients.
I purchased this lens last year when I couldn't afford an 85L in good shape. Original thread is here:

There is a considerable amount of something behind the front element. I have no idea if it is fungus, a rotting carcass, or what have you. But it's there and very well documented in the link above. It's still there and hasn't changed in the year that I've had the lens.
The rest of the lens is in good (8+ overall) shape with some moderate wear on the body, hood, some dust, etc. AF is spot on and required 0 adjustment on my 5D3, 1DX, and eventually 5D4. This lens is sharp at f/1.2 and very sharp throughout most of the frame at f/1.8 where I usually shot it. The sale includes front/rear caps, original box, hood, and lens. You can look into getting the front fixed by CPS if you wish.
I love this lens, but unfortunately it got squeezed out by the 85 Art this last month. I decided to try the Sigma and I have decided that I will tolerate the size issue and shoot with my 100 f2 when I want to go light. The bokeh is not as good as the 85L but c'est la vie.
Established FM'ers preferred. Price includes shipping, PP gift or add 3% for regular. Open to reasonable offers but below a certain point I will definitely hold onto this lens as it still beats the Art in the sexy bokeh department
** Not looking for trades at this time other than maybe a 200 f/1.8L (and cash on my end of course) ** |
