So I couldn't resist anymore and received my RX-1RII today. Great little jewel. Just a question to the owners here. I have the feeling that the camera pushes shutter-speed and ISO in A-Mode always noticeable higher than really needed. It's often around 1/100s at 3.200 ISO. My A7RIII takes in the same situation and similar lens/aperture considerable slower shutter-speeds with lower ISO values. (F.e. 1/30s at ISO 800) Is that maybe extra wanted from the camera-software in this specific case to prevent camera-shake based on the lacking IBIS in the RX-1RII? Got the ISO AUTO Min. SS in the Menu on Standard. Speaking of indoor shooting tests and some out of window tests only in the moment, the weather and light-conditions are just awful here in Germany in the moment...

This is configurable on the A7RIII: ISO AUTO Min SS.
I have mine set to "Fast", for example.

Not surprised that RX1R2 tries to keep shutter speed up. I could get consistently sharp handheld shots at 1/60 with RX1 and found I had to bump to 1/100 to 1/125 on RX1R2. With good technique could get lower with each but these worked well for consistently sharp static shots for me.

Only have A7r3 now and I have a button programmed for min auto SS and constantly change it from slow to very fast depending on circumstances, since I shoot auto iso and aperture priority most of the time.

After months of looking around in forums/craigslist, I finally pulled the trigger on the RX1R II. I own the RX1 and it's been my favorite camera for a while. I love its simplicity and size. I've had the A7R, A7, RX100s, RX10 III, a6000 with a multiple of lenses but secretly I've never loved any camera more than the RX1 and it's small size. I sold all of the above and just concentrated on shooting with the RX1 and it was a revelation. The autofocus however was a pain every now and then and I did not like having to

I cope by taking excellent images with it while hiking, on vacation, or just around town.

I think the best course of action after making such a big purchase is to put it to good use. Get out there and start snapping some pictures! Seriously, you’ll feel better.

Yes, thanks will do I just wondered it might be a common setting of the RX-1. We will see...
