Is it that time already...love this thread, its the highlight of the year...and makes me realize I have a long way to go...

Humbly...these are 5 of my favorites from 2016...in order...they all speak to me for different reasons, and hold different types of memories...

#1 Cosmic Frisco...a trip was planned around this shot...and now the pier will be torn down.

#2: The Opening Act: Craziest light I have ever seen in GSMNP... it hurts to see my favorite park on fire.

#3 Point Atkinson Lighthouse: From a trip to Vancouver...can't wait to go back.

#4: More Frisco Pier, a trip was planned later in 2016 just to shoot the pier before its gone.

#5 Vacant: I spent 2 years going to this place...the project is over, and I will miss this piece of coastline and this pier.

As someone who spends most of his time on N&W I am blown away by the quality of photography on this board. So I post these knowing they don't really measure up to what you all are able to produce...but here goes nonetheless.

agreed...I think we are very tough critics of our own work...especially when we see the work of others on the board here...

Didn't really do much landscape work this year Much more N&W (including a fabulous African safari) and the usual airshows. However, here are a couple I'm not too unhappy about - nothing to compare with the usual array of fantastic images on this thread, of course.
