I spent the last two days shooting with my buddy Dave in SoCal. We had this pretty harrier pose for us on a perch before for a few seconds. managed to snap a few frames

5D MK4 600 II + 1.4X III. ISO 800. f/5.6 at 1/3200 sec. hand held from vehicle. processed with DPP 4.5. Enjoy viewing

Absolutely gorgeous, Ari! The feather detail is amazing. The earth tones paint a wonderful canvas, and the composition is excellent.

Well done, that's a great shot, our similar birds (hen harrier, UK) will rarely be seen sat up like that as they prefer sitting on the ground in cover.

You call this "managed" to get a few snaps?

The sharpness and detail are just gorgeous, and background is to die for. And this was handheld, to say the least.
