Pouring rain didn't stop me from going to photograph Kirkjufell in Iceland from my last travel there.
With such a moody day, I still wanted to climb down to the water level.
With an umbrella pitched above the camera, I managed to shoot a few images before being soaked.
Here.. I am presenting the most photographed location in Iceland.. a typical image setting, in color and grayscale.

Very Nice! Well worth the effort. Hard to pick a favorite here! Just depends upon what mood I'm in at the moment.

The color version is more compelling for me, it seems to capture the mood better.

I'd like to see a bit more shadow recovery on the left side to balance it out.

Both are excellent images Kee, normally I would go for the B/W as my favorite, however, this time I'm going to pick the color. I agree that it seems to capture the mood better. Well done.

Great stuff!
Color over BW (and I am a BW fan). I especially like the patch of green that seems to lend some balance to the image.
And yes to a tad of shadow recovery far left, if possible.

Hey Kee,

Hope you enjoyed your trip I really enjoy the BW version. Nice shutter speed on the water, I feel like it's just the right speed for this particular scene. The only thing messing with my eye is the upper left corner. That rock doesn't look out of focus but seems to be almost like a double image that's shifted over a few pixels and is causing a funny effect. I think if you just darkened that little area a bit it would be easily hidden. Good job though. I'm jealous

Hey Kee, unfortunately it seems I'm stuck with long term back and neck problems. I have an appointment today to see a new physical therapist. I haven't had a chance to do any backpacking trips since we had to cancel our travels plans this year since my loss of work and medical bills wiped out our savings I feel like I might have problems hiking with a pack but we'll see. The upside is that my settlement should pay for a nice little holiday I appreciate you asking!!

Lovely, I like black and white but for this shot, I would go with the color version.
