Please tell me which adapter is required to permit R lenses on the S bodies. Apologies if this has been covered before! Any special tips or knowledge about which lenses perform better, or worse, or cannot be affixed? Thank you! Tom Conway.

Hi Tom,

Upon release of the announced new Fujifilm mirrorless camera with 33mm X 44mm sensor size and when and if adapters are offered with this open system for lenses, it is quite likely that many Leica R lenses will also cover more than this sensor sizes.

I did some initial tests of my Leica R 180mm f3.4 Apo Telyt with my Sony A7r and my Cambo Actus. Below are 2 posts from the new Hasselblad mirrorless thead. I accidentally made an error for the estimated image circle for the lens in the first posting, but corrected it in the second:

Ok, I will look for an S to L adapter and some L glass. I wonder if there is an E to L since I have a Sigma 85 that I enjoy shooting on an A7R series.

I use a Leica 50mm Summilux-R E60 on a Fujifilm GFX and it covers the sensor fairly well.

A lens I always want to give it a try, and the longer I wait the higher its price has gone.
Can you share a few samples with GFX, I am very interested to see it. Out of a few 50mm range I tried, Nikon 58G is the only one offering enough coverage. 50mm Summilux M barely make it but with strong vignette at extreme corner.

No cropping, but I did correct for vignetting
