To spend an hour with a leopard enjoying its meal is something quite special...and when you are privileged to have this as a private sighting even better.
Eric

Video (make sure you watch in Hi-Def)

So I'm sitting here snacking on some lasagna and munching on a dill pickle and I read 'make sure you watch it in high def'

My lasagna taste a little different now! That is eating in the raw for sure Crazy that the lights don't chase him off, wicked video man!

Agree with Rex, this video takes us there better than the still.
Liked both video and the still.

Holy smoke! Any closer, you would be included in its meal . Well captured, Eric, as always.

Thanks Karl...most of the cats are pretty habituated to vehicles and night time viewing so the lights seem to be ignored. However, if they are hunting all lights are turned off as to not give either the predator or the prey and advantage rather than because it is "annoying".

Thanks and 100% agree Rex....feeding scenes in general are much more interesting as video...luckily, my wife does most of the video on a camcorder but the 1DX2 is so capable that I do try to get a few snipits now and then.

Liked both video and the still.

Thanks Mansur....the still was merely gratuitous so something other than the video link would appear...I have other images that are probably better but in this case I am in full agreement that video is superior. And it's really nice when there are no other vehicles so the clicking of shutters isn't superimposed over the sound of bones being crunched.

The video does tell the story very well Eric. Now I'm headed over to the BBQ forum I belong to. Somehow that seems to fit ~ Ron
