First time trying to photograph the moon. It was so bright, if I wanted to get a shot of the moon clearly, then everything else would be in complete darkness. This one I took two exposures and quickly mashed them together in Photoshop. Even at 85mm it is tiny.

Any tips for doing it right next time?

500mm and longer is good, as well as not complete darkness. Exposure over 1/200s

300mm with 1.5 crop sensor:

Astrophotography anyone?
Eli, you need a longer lens (not sure if you are using one) and try several exposures. Even crop.
