Having done exactly what you said, I got an error this way too. What does this mean

And what's odd is that I DON'T get an error with my Canon 6D (also a full frame) or my Rebel SL1.

That you should stick with Canon lenses on Canon bodies, and adapt your Leica glass to Sony mirrorless cameras
