I just left Bosque this morning and I have to say I've not seen the refuge in such great shape in many years. The area in front of the flight deck has been trimmed, and the east side around the Willow Deck has been clear cut so you can see the fields from the road. The ponds along the road are in good shape with the grass cut as low as I've ever seen. The south pound has all the cranes in the morning and they just walk north into the now cut field and feed before leaving. The crane count is getting larger every day but not many snow geese.
