Thanks. The sky was a bit overcast, which I find helps with problems of blown highlights on these guys. That said, usin plus EC was a,bit of a mistake, as it contributed to a small amount of blowing of the white feathers. - 1/3 or -2/3 EC might have been better. But I think overexposing a bit in camera helped reduce the noise on these relatively high ISO shots. And I should say I was very pleased with my 1D iv on these. I got about 40 shots, almost all in perfect focus. Still a great body.
