Polar Bear - Churchill, Canada - Today November 4th

No time for much of an edit just had to post a quick one before sleeping!
A cute polar bear cub checks me out as it's mom sleeps nearby.
Its un seasonably warm here in Churchill this year (+3C today) and its harder to find bears so far but we managed to find 7 on our first day back in town.
Very nice shot. Why the use of 1/3200 for a polar bear? If it ran at me that fast I wouldn't be snapping more photos A slower SS would have got you a lower ISO for a cleaner image although it probably doesn't matter much with the 1DX at 1000 anyways.
Wonderful portrait; one of the first I've seen of a polar bear that is not on ice. I can't help but wonder the significance of 'unusually warm' there and what the implications are for the species.
