It took a few trips and several attempts but I finally came home with a keeper I think.
We didn't get a lot of widespread color again this year but I found a few pockets along the way.
When I first saw this scene I had to calm myself down before I dared to start shooting.

C&C always welcomed.

I find the lighter colored trunks to the right of the falls and just below the sun a bit distracting and I would suggest you experiment with darkening them. It's really beautiful otherwise and the color is great.

Thanks for the kind words. This is Eastatoe falls just south of the BRP. It is on private property but the land owners are kind enough to let people come visit it.

I started over from scratch and think I fixed the color issues but something still doesn't look right to me.
After 20 years I thought I knew of all the waterfalls around this area but you proved me wrong.

And I'll be going back to shoot this another day with hopefully better flow.

Thanks! I wondered about those trees myself as my eyes kept being pulled to them. I'll burn them down a little and see how it looks.

I like this scene with the foliage lighting & water flow.
But the sunstar doesn't look natural & appears pasted over.
Could be a layer issue.

Probably due to the little water flow caused by the drought we're in. I've seen images of this with better water flow and it's very impressive. Much better than what I had here.

Thanks Dan. The sun star is all real. I blended a 3 frame bracketed set in LR to get the DR but that's about it.
I don't even know how to use layers or other PS trickery. I'm wondering if maybe I pushed shadows up too much that could be causing what you are seeing? I need to work on this one more as I'm not real happy with it yet now that I've walked away from it for a little while.
