Great images but the first one is a winner! It portrays a somber winter mood and I love it!

These are all quality images Geoff. My second faverate is the crow with the snow on it. The first is a wall hanger with that great enviroment, the lovley natural frame on the left and the branch leading to your subject on a nice diagonal from the upper right.

I like the tranquil feeling in the last image with maybe a few brighter objects in the BG subdued.

#1 is picture postcard purdy

Impressive results wide open on that combo!

#4 is off the charts great! Eagles in the snow are a dime a dozen but the expression and atmosphere you caught with that crow are unique.

I've gotta agree with Heron! Not to take away from how nice the others are but the crow is outstanding to me for the reason he states. Not to mention how difficult they are to expose for and get any detail. Love that one!

Thanks Karl. Wide open makes no difference for that lens....it really has no improvement stopping down according to resolution charts over at DXOMark.
