Gilcrease Museum is nicely landscaped with a few gardens in the surrounding grounds. I was a bit late for blossoms but a couple of butterflies kept me entertained. This one in particular.

Nice images, crisp. I have a lot of trouble getting butterflies to sit still for me. Like #1 best, the b&w doesn't do much for me. I love my D7100 camera.

Thank you, Brian. The D7100 is exceptional for this sort of work. I can really pinpoint the exact spot I want in focus much better than with my old D90. I really have never had a problem with getting butterflies to sit still. If I stand in one place and watch them for a while, I see which flowers they like. They will come and go but I can sort of select the flower I want to use and wait for them to return. Just watching is the key I think. Being fairly still, too. I think you will find that they do like to settle on one flower and move slowly about. Until they fly away, that is.
