Meanwhile, I have come across the positive report in the following thread of using the Techart Pro adapter with a Leica lens (albeit a different one) with floating element.

So seems like to focus this and similar lenses with floating element, you have to first do a ballpark manual focus, to get the lens with floating element in roughly the right position, THEN have the Techart Pro autofocus to get a precise result, right (or wrong)?...Show more →
I use the adapter with a lens with floating element (ZM35/1.4). It works well even if I leave it at infinity, but there's more CA than usual. If I want best quality, I manual focus as effectively I can on my subject and then let the adapter find the best focus.
