p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Equine photography anyone?

I was asked to go down and photograph some Arabian Horses at a Stud the other day. This was my first time out photographing horses. I really wasn't sure how to play it. In the end I only used one lens. It was a fun afternoon and hopefully I will be taking some more shots of these wonderful animals. Anyway, here are a few shots. Thanks for looking.

Great shots Mark. You captured some very dynamic poses and that aperture setting really makes them stand out.

Marvelous job on these Mark, I hope you got a little more variety of poses. Horses have such expressive eyes!

Thanks very much. Yes, the 200 F2 really helped here. I was going to use a zoom but instead shot with the D810 and cropped in post processing when I couldn't quite fill the frame. This is one of those times when it is great to have plenty of resolution

Thanks Douglas. Yes, I have lots of images and a reasonable amount of poses. Unfortunately, I was not able to move when I was taking the shots as there was an Open Day going on at the time. I will be returning as this Stud is quite keen to run photo days which will present better opportunities.
