Being a Volunteer Lighthouse Host at Heceta Head allowed me to get a little closer to the lens than the day-by-day tourist. Enjoy, Carl
1) Sunset at Heceta Head. I was lucky to time the photo just as the beam hit my camera lens to create a star burst.

2) When the light in the focal point burns out the spare is automatically moved into position and turned on.

3) A view from inside the Fresnel Lens at Heceta Head - Over 2 tons of lead glass 9 feet tall and 6 feet wide.
