There is some drain but more like 2-3% overnight. Didn't even notice until I read this thread. The camera drains very slowly on its own, and the difference is noticeable. Still keeping the adapter on, though. Yours is probably a bad unit.

And all batteries drain slowly, with no connection to any device. I would say 0.5–1.0%/day is to be expected. Joining this thread because this adapter is a very exciting device.

Not official test but I think I lost maybe 2 percent overnight. Tonight I'll do a real test.
I'm going after my L bracket with a Dremel this morning. It does actually work now but it's very very close to hitting the adapter. I think I can get to that than I need to extend it down past the adapter for quick release on tripod a little. I got a idea for that.

I tested for battery drain and was surprised by the result.
I put a freshly recharged battery on the camera (at 100%)
The adapter had a Leica 90/2.5 on it but I don't think it would matter which lens. This was at 10:30pm last night.
I just checked this morning and the battery was still at 100% after 8:30 hours...
TechArt Pro admitted there is a very small drain but I could not see any...

I just did a full firmware update with the adapter attached. (A7RII firmware version 3.3 update)
It took 15 minutes total time and the battery is still at 100%!

Do you use this on the A7RII? Listing notes it's for the A7II, and I know there are differences that can impact the utility of L-mounts (batter door etc)

It looks like I have a defective unit.
I don't see why it would be draining that much of my battery.

Fixed the Sunway L bracket.
I put a rubber gasket flat in between the plate and camera and that extended it down enough for the tripod to catch the grooves . Than on the front of the plate I did grind it down enough to put adapter on and off without any rubbing.

Good to know because I have the Sunway bracket as well. Very well-built.
