I just received my Techart adapter an hour ago and was able to take a few pics with it. I went ahead and upgraded the FW via the IOS app just to try it (didn't know how to check the current version on the adapter). I took a few shots using AP-C using my 90 Elmarit (while pre focusing to get half the minimum focus distance). I can't wait to take some action shots with it.

Anyone have any suggestions for using the Techart to AF an EF-mount Zeiss lens that doesn't have manual aperture control - other than only shooting wide open at F2?

Okay I did the setting for focal. Length. My guess on camera open to widest aperture on dial. Than use lens aperture

To include a focal length to the EXIF and benefit from auto IBIS, do the following:

Set the aperture of choice. For your 35mm lens, it's f/22. Then take a picture (it can be without the memory card)
That's it, now and subsequent picture will have 35mm on the EXIF data and IBIS will be set for a 35mm lens.

Always remember to move back the aperture to f/2 (keep always at f/2 when shooting)

Just keep the dremel away from the bottom section of adapter!

Hi Fred, have you used your WATE yet on the TechArt Pro adapter?
I am curious about your take on that.
Somebody pointed out the WATE has internal focusing.
But I don't think it has an FLE.

Sorry, I no longer have the WATE.

BTW: There are 2 apps. One we can download from the Google, Apple store and it's mainly to update the adapter's firmware.

There is another app that can be used to tweak the pre-programmed aperture settings for focal length, etc..
It's in beta and techart pro shared the link to me. Give it a try and let me know how it works:

I'm very happy with the 16-35/4 and Loxia 21/2.8 but waiting patiently for the 16-35GM.

The 16-35/4 is an intriguing lens. Once you get a good copy, it's night and day especially at the long range.

Fred can you comment on the battery drainage with the adapter on and the camera off?

Anyone else with the adapter, can you comment on this? Thanks.

I'm beginning to think I have a defective unit. It's pretty obvious that the adapter is severely draining my battery when the camera is off.

I'm waiting for tonight. I will put a fresh battery on it and check the percentage in the morning. I will update this thread with the result.
