i think the airfare and hotel for the week would cost about $2000 - that's probably $2000 more than they budgeted for a 'helper'

but they don't realize they'd be getting about $120,000 of exposure (above and beyond the $80,000 of exposure you've already given them).

i'd love to know how their sales have trended just since this thread was started 48 pages ago.

also, all of the used zeiss and to a lesser extent leica lenses along with the "new" sales.

Yeah, I saw that. They're apparently back-ordered until the 15th. Prime wouldn't come in until next week. I tried.

I have some available PayPal funds so figured I'd use that before I use anything else. If only Amazon took PayPal without having to get a PayPal card.

A question for techartpro:

I have an LM-EA7 with Serial Number 582 and Firmware Version 04 that seemed to have stopped working last night.
I received the adapter in April, IIRC, and have been using it on an A7r.2 and a6300 with latest Firmware as well.
Here is my question: Is there a procedure I can follow to establish that the LM-EA7 is actually dead?
Also, what is the process for returning the adapter under warranty as I ordered it from your website.

bought a used a7II last week and it came in today in anticipation to use the Techart adapter .. unfortunately, upon startup i get the "camera error. turn power off then on." error. Bummer. If I quickly turn off and back on, I was able to test a few shots but error would come back. Back to KEH it goes

Worked nicely with the CV 35/1.2 and 35/1.7 for the few shots I was able to take lol

before sending the a7ii back, took a test shot with the Helios 44M. Came out pretty good as far as focusing goes. This lens was always hard to nail focus wide open

the nikkor 10.5cm/2.5, i couldnt get to work though. it wouldn't autofocus

Good news about the Helios. I have one in a drawer I used to use as a loupe, and was wondering if it would AF well (given its signature aberrations)

I've contacted them to ask about a timeline for the SL adapter M. But no response. Is there an official release date?

Thank you. I changed my order to Amazon and just recevied a note that my adapter will be shipped on Sept 16th. Lets see if that date holds up.

I've decided to take a different approach this time. I'll test out the TAP with my Voightlander Nokton 58 F1.4 with the Leicaist Nikon AI lens to Leica M adapter in route from Hong Kong ( thanks for the Leicaist recommendation). If all goes as well as everyone on this forum writes about the TAP, then I will probably rent ( not buy) some of the M mount lenses you guys are so keen on.

Also, now that I read what Roger Cicala wrote about Fred M, I'll be paying much more attention to Fred's lens tests and recommendations

"Months ago I tested a lens for Fred Miranda. I correspond with Fred regularly and I know he is an exceptional careful photographer and will notice any (and I do mean any) flaw in a lens. I sent him a lens that passed with flying colors. Sure it had a slight abberation in one corner, but it was well within ‘my spec’. Fred sent it back after one day’s shooting for a soft corner — and absolutely identified that same corner I had passed as ‘good enough, you’ll never notice it on a camera’. My ‘in spec’ standard for that lens was developed when a 5D III was high resolution. He had put the lens on a much higher resolution camera and was noticing something that wouldn’t be noticeable on a lesser camera. (To be honest, it probably wouldn’t be noticed by most photographers, either. But Fred has bionic MTF eyes, I think.)"

Well, the crummy thing about a thread with 48+ pages is that I need to find an answer for why my shots are extremely overexposed and I have to read through these pages hoping I am not the first to ask.
