I will give them a couple of prints tomorrow, K-H.

KH,
How do you like your Minolta MD 24-35/3.5? Sharp on corners at smaller apertures? Too much CA?
It does not do too well on this survey but I am not sure how accurate this is:

Thanks Fred,
So the Contax CY 100-300, and similar lenses would work with the Techart.
very interesting.

Yes, the CY 100-300 is my main telephoto lens and works great with Techart.

Same result with either OEM or Wasabi batts

Thanks Fred. When the A7r was first available I noticed some excellent cityscapes on GetDPI by Michiel Schierbeek (alias sculptormic on fredmiranda) shot with this lens. As the lens was pretty inexpensive I got one from eBay, but never evaluated it thoroughly or shot a lot of images with it. So, I am really not knowledgable enough to address your questions. Sorry about that.

K-H.

Hmmm.. I just noticed one problem. With Leica 50/2 apo, I took some pictures with f2 and f8 at hard stop infinity and the picture of the skyline was perfectly sharp with CV adapter. Switched to Techart, at f8, focusing at a building on the horizon, picture was perfectly sharp with no difference than using CV adapter but at f2, Techart was struggling to focus quite a bit (pretty much anything below f4 actually) and when it eventually focused and I could take a picture, the whole frame was much much softer ( not so well focus). I used tripod and cable release to test this on 2 separate days. I am at work now so I cannot post picture but can do it tonight when I get back home but just wonder if anybody else has any problem with focus wide open at inifinity or near infinity distance? In the past at closer range, I never notice any problem with 50/2 apo.

4pm 2 days ago and 7.30 am this am. With f2, EV 0,iso100 shutter speed was 1/4000 this morning when I tried.

Here are the pictures

With 50/2 apo @f8 and Techart Adapter, the whole picture.
Corner and center pictures are 100% cropped no resize. Color is a bit different as they are taken about 30 minutes apart in the morning.

What would be quicker at this point, ordering from Techart direct or wait until the adapter is listed again at B&H?

Techart says shipping to the us takes 3-4 weeks.

Same Sony 1020 mAh battery that previously drained significantly overnight, now at 100%, after about 12 hrs.

Go figure.

Took another older 1020 OEM battery test. Still at 100% after 12 hours.

On the images above, to me the adapter combination is sharper. Seems pretty obvious.

I've matched the exposure and white balance closer between the two samples and also believe the techart crop at f2 is sharper.

Fred, so for your Contax lens, you use contax to Leica M adapter + Techart? I am thinking about using it with Contax 85mm 1.4 and buy A7ii to replace my original A7. Will that lens be too heavy for the motor? I am not familiar with the 100-300mm but I am guessing it must be heavier than the 85mm. Thanks Fred.

Yes, adapter on adapter.
The 100-300/4.5-5.6 is 925 grams + CY-M adapter + TechArt (135g), so it's not light.
It works fine if you hold the lens and let the adapter do the focusing. (Same for the 6.6-pound 200/1.8L)

I used this one:

On that section it is sharper but on other images the areas with the use of the adapter are clearly sharper. Maybe I missed what was being focussed on.
