This heron can be identified as an adult by not having a spiky hair-do, long "bib" feathers on the chest, and the shoulder patch is dark blue-grey.

Nice set of herons Tony. No recent sightings of LGBH? I couldn't find him in Departure bay when I was there in June. I guess that was a long shot anyways!!
