I am trying some different things with my B+W conversions and thought I'd submit this one for critique. The crop is definitely a little awkward (to me) and it's because I wasn't happy with the full pose.

EXIF: Sony A7r + Zeiss 55 FE, f/2.8 or so,

Shot after we reached a summit in Yosemite.

other than it appears you preserved the highlight, i cannot comment on anything else as i am viewing with uncalibrated monitor.

from the title, for me i was anticipating a wider angle portrait with visible bg or a slope side portrait of subject with gears attached.

A crop just below the zipper pull and Patagonia logo leaves a better composition.
