So, Cameraquest(Stephen Gandy) canceled my preorder for the M-mount version because he doesn't ship Voigtlander to Canada.... But I bought my CV15III from him last year! So why won't he ship to Canada now?
Thecamerastore isn't bringing in any(so much for buying local), it was my best bet here in Calgary.
I then contacted JCL sales group Voigtlander's distributor in Canada about when and where I can buy one, no response at all.
I also contacted B&H since they have a preorder for the FE 10mm, but the M-mount is not listed, and they claim to ship to ship to Canada on the preorder page for the FE10, so far I've only received an automated response....
This is frustrating.
So if anyone knows any details, please post.

B&H definately ships to Canada, and with the 'pay now' customs clearance, and free shipping over $99, it is hassle-free.

I seen that they ship to Canada on the preorder page for the FE version, but they have no M-mount version listed on their site, so I don't know if they will be offering it for sale.... Which was why I contacted them, I'll try again on Monday if I don't hear from them first.

Apparently Sony doesn't ship to Canada anymore either....

My understanding from visiting Voigtländer website is the vm version will be coming out later. Perhaps that's why you can't get it yet?

Stephen G. explained to me that for some contractual reason, he can no longer ship Voigtländer equipment to Australia (and i have bought heaps from him before). I asked him why, but have not got a reply yet—so likely it is the same kind of reason that stops him shipping to Canada. I had a similar problem with a recorder from Sweetwater (their contractual arrangements with the recorder's maker protected the Australian dealer).

B&H will ship anywhere, in my experience, and that is where I ended up getting the recorder from.

I finally heard from B&H and JCL, B&H said to check back when the FE version is in stock, JCL said they should check with Thecamerastore to see if something can be done... So that sounds promising.

Cosina's Japanese page for the VM version of the 10/5.6 indicates it will be available June 17th.

They will ship if there isn't a geographic/territorial restriction imposed by the manufacturer/distributor. I bought a Motorola phone from them and had to ship to a US address for pick up (not a big deal as I'm relatively near the border). They wouldn't ship to Canada, just like now they won't ship Sony gear to Canada.

I had a similar experience with the Taiwanese Voigtlander distributor when the 35/1.2 II was first available... prices in parts of Asia were $200-300 less than US/Canada. He balked at selling to someone outside Taiwan as it was not in his territory, so I had to have a friend in Taiwan buy it and ship it to me.

OP: while not local for you and they don't have the 10mm listed yet, you could check with Camtec in Montreal: http://shop.camtecphoto.com/en/Voigtlander

But I agree B&H has a pretty good deal for Canadian shipping...

Thanks for finding the ship date, so still a month out...

Thanks to everyone, I will wait and see what the Canadian distributer can do before I order it long distance.

I really hope it doesn't have issues like the 15 is going through in the rolling review thread.

Another source you ought to try is the US East Coast distributor for Cosina, Photo Village in NY City. Was visiting The City a few months back and to my pleasant surprise, PV had moved uptown, as did Photo Tech, a great camera repair shop on the same kitty corner conveniently opposite B&H's little little brick+mortar shop on 34th Street and 9th Avenue..
