Bandhavgarh is my second home. I spend at least two weeks there - one week in winter and one week in summer. Been there during first week of May 2016 and it was just a small visit of 7 rounds of safaris. Though to was a quick trip but the kind of tiger sightings, i had was just phenomenal.

In total 9 different tigers. Eight tigers in a particular round. Four cubs almost continuously for four rounds. I just clicked tigers this time except few images of a red jungle-fowl. After second round of cleaning the entire images, it is 48GB of tiger images.

Rajbehra Tigress - The mother

The cubs of Rajbehra Tigress. BBC is documenting this family since they are born. Now they are almost eleven months.

Rajbehra Tigress - This is one of my favourite images and this is Bandhavgarh Special Image

This a Male tiger - Bamera's Son. I have been photographing this tiger when he was 3 month old and then i got him when he was 15 months old. Later sad news came that he has been killed by a male tiger. However, he appeared and i decided to see him.

I have been to Bandhavgarh several times and later in the year seems to be very productive. You also got great light. I suppose you don't mind the 45 C heat!!!!
I'm jealous of those cub shots. I knew I should have gone this year. Maybe I should still go?!!!!

Thank you Don. I don't mind 45 C heat at all. I will mind if there is no good sightings.
Cursing myself that i have to go to Switzerland for 3 weeks on a official trip during peak wildlife (tiger) season.

Honestly, this was one of my best trip to Bandhavgarh during last six years. We planned safari by safari and the results were as expected. Though, wildlife is uncertain.

Don - Safari permits are now almost full unless you opt for full day. David Lloyd is there at Bandhavgarh too. I was lucky to get them in regular safari times. A mix of full day and elephant ride will be fruitful.

Wow would love to see one of these animals not in captivity. Really like the one in the tall grass. Amazing how the cat blends into its surroundings.
