Wow. Nice encounter. I'd print one of those, maybe the second from the end.

Thanks Don. I just finished framing the one with him standing/crouching on the rock

Wonderful shots of a nice male....it doesn't look particularly large or old....no dewlap and a pristine face....you did very well with this guy...it's nice when they seem to know what to do.
Eric
Thanks Eric! From my notes he was about 3 1/2 years old. As he hopped up on the rock, I was almost frantic to get a few shots before he hopped down again. As it turned out, he sat there for about 45 minutes, moving several times to give a few different poses.

Oh my goodness !! Those shots on the rock are amazing !!!
Birdie
Thanks Birdie. He sat so long on the rock, their was time to put the camera down and just sit with him as he surveyed his surroundings. Just awe-inspiring!

Lovely encounter and well documented Hobbes
This looks like the comfortable young male that resides around Kimilamatonge Hill?
When last there in JAN this year I had some lovely encounters with him, in what was a very, very wet 16 nights spent here.
I'm looking forward to my 20 nights here come NOV, in what is one of my favourite regions in all of Africa.
Which camp did you stay in?
Cheers
Marc
Thanks Marc! That's the place! 16 and 20 nights? I'm envious! I was there last September, when I stayed at Kwihala. I've already made arrangements for next year.
Cheers,
Hobbes
