Nice set, thanks for showing some of the non-icons. I particularly like the fall colors and light in 2 and the last one, with its stark colors and broodiness from the shifting mist. Sounds like the trophy hunting landscape photographers (and other tourists) are turning Patagonia into what is commonly seen at various National Parks/iconic locations in the US. Thankfully its easy enough to avoid the hot spots, as there are untold thousands of gorgeous locations to shoot for those willing to search for them.

Excellent work. Kudos for seeking out something different. The issues you have alluded to are the same ones I now see afflicting Iceland. These are delicate fragile places with limited carrying capacity and now they are being overrun (the popular locales anyway). And it'll get worse, much worse absent an act of God.

Nice set Gregg and for me brings back great memories of our trip last year. I think the moon rising over Mount Cerro Torre and Fitz Roy outside of El Chalten is my fav. Sorry to hear the inevitable - that Patagonia is now a popular hotspot. Its only going to get worst and add to the frustrations. I remember last year being scolded by guides on the Argentina side when we just wanted to stray off a hiking trail to take a shot! Its a pity.

An interesting set of images here. #1 and 3 are my favorites, especially #3.

As for what you wrote, remember paragraphs are your friend and ours. It was pretty difficult to read as it is just one huge solid block of text. Go back and break it up into about 4 or 5 paragraphs to increase it's readability.

Your description is the very reason I did not lead a tour there this year! The place is becoming a fiasco. IMO there are far too many great and unique places left in the world to shoot and lead people without having to deal with hoards of crowds of people.

Interesting reading your comments. I've been wanting to go to Patagonia for a long time now but it's a very long way from England. I know it's always hard to tell but do you feel like it is just going to continue becoming more and more congested? I had a very similar thing with Iceland. It was practically deserted when I first went and now there are coach loads of people marauding about the 'popular' spots with tourist numbers having close to tripled. It certainly doesn't ruin the spots where you have to explore a bit but it certainly changes the feel of a place.

As for the photos, the first and last are fantastic. The others aren't too shabby either! I'm struggling a bit with the star trails, I feel like they should either be pinpoints or just a bit longer so they look more like trails that slight motion blur. Just a personal preference though.
