Inherited a farmhouse with about 2 acres of land to go with it. Can you say studio in the making. I have a lot of work to do but it is so worth it. Stay tuned for updates...

Add a few outside pictures too when you get a chance. This looks interesting.

Gee, I hope you're a good carpenter. That, my friend, looks like a challenging project.

Best of luck to you.

Not a Strange Inheritance --- fascinating construction, esp the long saw board flooring that looks to be very early. Might be well worth getting someone knowledgeable to evaluate the interior history --- and if you had to renovate, the potential value of removed items.

All the Best

Charles

You've got the land to work with. Not sure it's worth the effort and huge money it'll take to convert that to usable studio space. Might be less expensive to put up a new building. Best of luck!

That's the possibility that led to my suggestion to know a LOT about the interior wood, esp that long cut flooring. Micro cut old growth boards are premium top sellers. Scrappers who tear down old buildings for the contents are multi-million dollar operations.

I have nothing but time. Over here in Germany they actually build things to last not just enough for you to keep coming back for work. But I do have an architect coming in letting me know how much work will be needed for the floor and steps to be added. It looks pretty rough now but the vision that I have for the place will look totally different. So stay tuned...
