I was going to say that as well I think the hat really makes it special

Everything everyone has said about number two is true, it's a wonderful shot.
Something no one has mentioned, though, how much her hat brings to the photo.
Notice how nicely it frames the beautiful face. Makes the photo much better, I
think.

Lovely pics. Giving you a "shout out" from Southern California. Haha

What lens was used in #2 photo? Sorry, I don't peruse other folk's profiles

Thanks for the comment! I used Zeiss Batis 85mm at f/1.8 for the #2 pic!

As a wedding photography I initially would hesitate to "fix" a shot or scene but it was really silly on my part. I had my assistant spend 30 minutes at a ceremony location removing Canadian geese poop from the area as I did not want to be dealing with it in post.

Where in the second shot the grass is growing up and blocking her arm and much of her dress I would not hesitate to mat it down and out of the way. It will pop back up by the next day.

Something that also is helpful for outdoor photographs of people in full sun is one of the collapsible discs or oblong diffuser panels that can provide 1-2 stops less light but not be as obvious as a solid reflector or flag.
