above the Hudson River there are at least four pairs of nesting Peregrine Falcons on the New Jersey Palisades. Additional pairs above the Hudson include Riverside Church (Manhattan) and the George Washington Bridge.

These photos were shot on 31 March 2016; most Peregrines in the NYC metro area seem to sitting on eggs right now...hatching in the next 5-6 weeks.

Great shots of an amazing bird. I saw one take a bufflehead out of the air last weekend, it all happened next to me while I was driving at 30-40 mph.
