I decided to gather a few of my Wood Duck images to share with you. I find them such beautiful creatures that I'm always going back into my files to look at them.

My only wish is that I was able to get down for a lower perspective, but unfortunately if I did, we'd need to bring in a crane to get me back up again.

Amazing shots, Harvey! They are all so sharp and the colors are so deeply saturated. Awesome.

Very nice shots, especially the flapper. 4 pair out there this morning here, but staying farther out on the pond.

Excellent photography. My favourite is also the female, so natural, sharp, and top marks for bring out those subtle colours.

Superb work Harvey. 7 does standout for the low perspective, but 3 & 6 are outstanding as well imo.

Thanks a lot, Ken. The hen was actually on a slightly raised area along the shore so it was easier for me to get a lower point of view.

Thanks a lot. The drake images were captured at an inner city pond in Toronto. They appear to have become comfortable with the near proximity of humans after a while.

They are indeed beautiful creatures, I can't get enough of them either. Very nice set, and I especially like the last shot of the female. This is one bird species where the female is nearly as beautiful as the male.

Wonderful birds and the thought of them makes me turn to spring. I use a right angle viewer to get my camera lower these days!!
