Andre, yes during the photosession I was amazed when I saw her hair, her face and expression. And what I got afterwards reminded me a bit on Dorothea Langes images from the Great Depression, but she used larger DOF, and here images are the original ones with a story behind, not just pictures of a good looking women:

My wife said it looks for her more like the "Afghan Girl" from Steve Mc Curry, but I can not share this view.

For me it is "simpel" a good image to show the capabilities and problems of my combination with relative f/0.38 to fullframe DOF.

Somewhat haunting, I think the eyes are what make it so. Only nit is the small amount of lighter background at her top left side of the head.

Douter, yes, that right.
For these tests I don´t used backdrops as normal, cause the small DOF. This light in the wrong place is the result of this lazyness.

Not much post processing invloved, mainly the monochrome conversion. The sharpness / blur is from camera and lens.
