Normaly I prefer women as model - or no living creatures at all.
This time I had to work with a male model to get some test images with a new experimental setup. While it is not extremely sharp, I like the result.

Solid work. I'd be tempted to burn in a bit more of the light area of his shirt, although maybe not all the way to ZoneV.

Yes, I am not completely happy with the grey tones from the shirt and the neck. On the other hand the image would be very dark with the face as brightest spot.

Yeah, I really like this. One little nit is that the right shoulder is somewhat in focus while the rest of his shirt is out of focus. I might add a little blur to that.

Ok, seriously, I'm going to have nightmares about this tonight. This guy looks like he'll take your living models and make them non-living creatures. Love this shot!

Oh no. I do not like Photoshop much. DOF is made by lenses, not Software :-)
I like the sharpness falloff on the shirt. I think it helps to give more feeling for the depth.

This is my only always present, but not willing model, myself.
So the expression is more about not wanting to be photographed, and less about killing someone

Furthermore the work to get this image is a bit more than normal selfies. The DOF is quite small.
