I have been out of the country for a while and came back just in time to pick up a new 400 DO MkII. So yesterday I decided to give it a try. An impressive lens! I think I will keep it.
These were taken with a 7D Mk II

Sweet captures and congrats on the new lens, although I get the strong sense you could get good results from a few Coke bottles stacked over a sensor!

Well Socrate, I hate to break it to you, but these images are lacking in many areas. I think the whole combo has to to be tossed, or given away. Here is my mailing address....

Super set Sir. Love the killdeer images, and the first loon shows such great feather detail. Good luck with the new lens!

Looks like the lens, camera, and photographer are working together great! Images 1, 5, and 6, standout to me. I have gone back to image 1 about four times now - just great!

That lens mated to the 7D Mk II delivers outstanding IQ... especially in your very capable hands Socrate.
Wonderful detail, contrast, bokeh... masterfully processed... definitely a worthy lens to have in your bag.
The Killdeer images are terrific and my favorites, I also very much like the Loon images.
Congrats on the new lens, I'm quite sure you will enjoy using it, and I'm also quite sure I will enjoy the images you create with it.
