It seems forever since I've been out shooting any kind of landscapes. Definitely it's like playing an instrument, and I'm feeling very rusty. Sorry for the cloud blowout. Oh well. This from way back about 20 miles behind Goblin Valley, where no one goes. Great rainstorms passing through today too.

Gotta get back up and swing!

I really enjoy the side light in the background, and how the ravine in the foreground leads through the composition. Very well captured!

Don't think the little bit of really white clouds detract from the image. I enjoyed the sidelighting a lot.

I sure like this scene and image. I don't think you're rusty, but rather well lubricated, I would hope! Let's go out there in our rigs sometime.

You don't seem rusty to me (although I know what you're talking about, happens to me when I'm too long between trips). At any rate, I really like this image a lot. It's great compositionally and has a lot of interest throughout. Great work!

Great Photo. I wonder, does the butte have a name, I recall seeing a sign on the way to goblin valley pointing to Temple Mountain a few minutes after leaving the main road.

No, this isn't Temple Mountain. I've been there many times, but have never had the right light for a nice Temple Mountain shot. I don't know the name of this butte, although every butte in Utah has an old pioneer name in it's history. As a landmark for travelers.
