So, I got some elcheapo cowboy studio lights off Amazon to get my hands dirty with lighting; specially need it to get some portraits done. Used my only available model for the shots who was uncharacteristically co-operative. Critics/comments/suggestions- all are welcome.

It hurts to be not active in the forum for a while. I linked photos from google photos and none of them are showing up unless you click on links. Any pointers?

You caught some nice expressions. It took me a minute to figure out what was the red in #1.
I think a winter hat on his head would have helped and even a coat, or no mittens at all.
Models these days...

#3 is my pick.

All nice, but I think you should evaluate the catchlights in the eyes before snapping. The eyes look a little dead in these to me. perhaps a reflector or fill for the eyes would be good too.
