Huh? I'm confused as to which rules he broke? AFAIK there's never been a limit in the people forum, like there is in landscape.

Although I will agree that the photos are too large to view. So Andrew, I would suggest keeping the photos around 900 - 1000 pixels on the long side so we can actually see them.

That being said, I enjoyed this set. I really like the processing and colors in them, especially the ones at the rocky beach.

But I do think it could be culled down a lot to have more impact. For example, the 1st 7 photos of the fire, I think you could cut down to 2 images, say #1 and #7, the others just don't seem to add that much additional to the story. Or like 45-47, I think just one of those would work (although I have to admit, I'd have a hard time choosing between 45 and 47, I like the even spacing in 47, but I like the bird's 'pose' in 45).

Those are my thoughts, thanks for sharing.

After scrolling through a few shots, I gave up. These are too large to view on my screen.
My suggestion is to pick some of your favourites and resize them and post IN A NEW POST.

No rules broken that I'm aware of. LIke David said, better off posting at around 900-1000 pixels on the long side.

I really liked looking at these, having grown up near San Francisco and totally missing the California beaches. However, esp with the sheer number in this series, they came across as snapshots to me. I really think you could have focused on 5 or 6 shots or whatever, and really made some high-end art with them, both from the concept of the shot as well as the post-production. So much potential here!

Thanks for the feedback - been rusty at this.

Regarding the rule breaking, I was posting in the landscape subforum before and the guidelines suggest 5 images at max.

I'll also work on resizing in the future, but thanks for the input. Very much appreciated.

Too large to view as well, but I do know this is place a sleeper for landscape photographers compared to other popular places in SF. Low tide when the starfish and other rock critters show up with beautiful light has so much potential.

Not sure if it applies to Mac, but holding CTRL on a PC allows the Scroll Wheel on the mouse to act as a Zoom (in or out) tool on most pages, including these.

Zooming out on these images makes the text tiny when you get there, but it takes just a second to zoom back in.
