I woke early one morning a few weeks ago to some distant rumbling so I decided to get up and take a drive to see what was going on. It's our last day of summer down here in Oz, and summer storms are one of the things I'll miss the most.

I like the bright grass kind of reflecting the dark, somber skies. Not a criticism, but I think not having the trees in the picture would make this even stronger.. the trees become a distraction to the horizontal light/dark lines. Thanks for posting!

Love the play between the bright cheery grasslands and the ominous grey clouds. Nicely captured.

Cropping the trees out would make it an entirely different picture (and a strong one that might be perfect for a book cover or something!) That's definitely an option, but I like it with the trees as well. If you keep the trees, I might darken some of the left edge to bring the eye back towards the center, but I really like the shot as is.
