Wow! What a glorious scene Mark. Not a bad place to chill, lie back and contemplate the world.
Eric
Big thank you Eric. Yeah really? Spending a day resting in the beauty of such nature is healing for the soul!

Having just returned from there, I can appreciate this. Very nice!

Nice! Did you have a great time? A wonder-land huh?

Very nicely done Mark. Reminiscent of a F.E Church painting.
~George.
Hi George. Thank you for the compliment. Comparing the image to a painting is a real compliment. I had never seen his work, but love it! Thank you for making me aware of him.

You just can't top mother nature when it comes to scenes like this. Great capture.
Thank you.

I really like the fact that you're incorporating more dark tones into your work Mark. It helps build a sense of mystery and drama. Some of your earlier work seemed more intent on showing perhaps too much shadow detail. I love it when photographers leave a little bit to the imagination. :-)
Thank you very much Ben. Agreed. Live and learn huh? Then going back to all your old work and re processing! I wish I could. I really feel it takes 10 years to get to that zone where you 1/2 way know what you are doing...

Love it Mark. Those condors really add something extra for me.
Thank you. I forgot to mention they have 10 foot wing spans! So amazing to see flying right over you!

Incredible capture Mark, you did a wonderful job pulling the viewer in with the stream and interesting tree trunk. The added sunset on high on the clouds is icing on the cake. Great job!
Thanks Matt.

Killer scene Mark. Must be something to be there person.
Thank you Scott. Oh man, I highly recommend it! I could see you playing guitar in the edge here all day!

Very nice Mark, great composition, and you worked the light well.
Are you going back to Patagonia this year? I was hoping to get down there this year, but I am thinking I will need to wait till next year.
Jim
Thanks Jim! A workshop is not in the plans, but going there to visit, photograph and visit friends still might. The place is extremely attractive.
Patagonia is third world and a total logistical nightmare. The amount of people leading workshops seems to be doubling every year and the park is cracking down (forcing us to have local guides, in both Argentina and separately in Chile) . Also, to acquire a reliable rent a car, like an SUV (to haul people and gear around) is extremely difficult and expensive and unpredictable. Most have a lot of blow outs... But having said that, it IS pulling on me to go again. Fortunately one of my best photography friends lives there and I can usually have a free place to stay! It is an addicting place. Especially if you get fit and are able to trek into some of the more awesome places.
