A happy belated birthday to Ansel Adams, a true pioneer in how we see, appreciate, and photograph our great landscapes. Here is my take on Yosemite in, my attempt at, Ansel Adams fashion.

This was actually shot on Wawona Rd from a moving car on our way into the park to catch sunset at the Tunnel View.

CC is always appreciated!

Very nice!

This view always makes me scratch my head.

Why? Because Half Dome appears so much larger from here versus its apparent size from Tunnel View. And I mean to the naked eye - thus eliminating any effect of telephoto compression.

Its amazing how drastically different this view is compared to the tunnel view. This spot really spotlights Half Dome, especially since El Cap is pretty much obscured by the hillside.
