Set out early this morning to take some shots and get some skiing in while I was at it. It was still snowing pretty good when I started the hike up to this vantage point and even as I got to about 3/4's of the way there it was still foggy. I damn near turned back. Glad I didn't. As always comments and criticisms are welcome and encouraged. Thanks for looking

Stunning light above the mist, well worth it, I'm glad you didn't turn back...I'm happy for Oregon for the on-going snow fall.

Great shot but how was the skiing?? Well done awesome shot. The only tweak I might try is warming it up- maybe too blue??

Hey Brian Thanks for the suggestion. The skiing was out of this world good. Light and fluffy (for Oregon standards) and untracked. I went back up and made another lap after I came down from taking this picture. I took another look at the picture and I agree with you. I warmed it up just a hair and I like it better. I will post the new and improved version

Freakin killer conditions. My brain wants to turn the camera just a hair to the left though. Minor as most prob woudlnt see it that way. Great job getting after it!

A pretty nice scene here, that fresh snow is wonderful. I wish there was a little more headspace above the mountain. Even if the sky was bare up there, a little more breathing room would be nice.

Hey Jim thanks for the advise. I actually could do that. I cropped it down a little because there was some pretty tough to remove jet trails. I will play around with it again though

Awesome color and light - looks like a beautiful morning. I'm from the PNW and currently in FL... really missing this kind of view.

I agree with Jim, I actually also would be curious to see a little more detail brought into the mountain in processing.

Beautiful conditions and image! I was just there a few weekends ago and had a very different experience; most of the mountain was shut down because of 130+ mph winds and it rained the entire time. People were literally ringing out their clothes, lol. Glad to see what's possible when the conditions hit perfect though. Well worth your effort!
