I have been trying for two months to get a half-decent shot of the Ruby-crowned Kinglets at the Riparian Preserve near my home. They are almost impossible to capture! They are extremely small, never stop moving for more than 1 second, and jump from branch to branch in trees that have a million small twigs that hide the whole bird or part of the bird no matter where they land. Today luck was on my side and this little guy stopped just long enough and close enough and in the open enough that I was able to get a couple of good images. I know to most people it's not a big deal, but to me it was an incredible success. I love these little birds.
