The Laowa 12mm does suffer from some field curvature. There is some softness of the corners but they improve at f8 and f11. All the shots I shared above were at f11.

Center and midframe sharpness are very good. I need to do some wide open testing.

I'm starting to regret not ordering during the kickstarter. These look pretty good especially if astro works out.

Received mine right after lunch today. I am impressed with the build quality and the manual focus feel is very smooth. It works great with the A7r2's manual focus magnifier and focus peaking. I took some quick test shots and mine seems to be well centered. Corners do sharpen up a bit at f/8 and f/11. I can't wait too get some time to try some real landscape shots and maybe some astro shots to test for comma. Unfortunately with my year-end work load and the Holidays that will likely have to wait for a couple of weeks.

I only wish that they could make the lens communicate with the body like the Zeiss Loxia lenses do. It would be nice to have the magnifier zoom-in automatically when you start to turn the focus ring. Also when using the IBIS you have to set the focal length manually and there is no f-stop listed in the metadata transferred to LR or PS.

But as a specialty focal length I can deal with these inconveniences more than if this was a heavily used focal length lens.

My wife sequestered it for Christmas. From the few shots I have taken with it, it seems to perform as well as my VC 12. Less distortion, but no EXIF data. I had to set the camera to "shoot without lens".
The snow and family has me enjoying the outdoors.

A couple days ago I asked Laowa about my filter holder on their Facebook page and they replied:

"Do not worry, we did not forget that. The filter holder is in it's final adjustment stage, but still need some more time to produce. Sorry for keep you waiting! We'll keep you updated about the holder, stay tuned!"
