Enjoyed some time with four different foxes last week. They are quite used to people and may be the most photographed foxes anywhere. Foxes and coyotes are favourites, but the coyotes are much harder to find. All taken with 7d ii and 100-400 ii

It's a real pleasure to see them at their best. I have shots of foxes from the summer and they appear half as large and much less impressive, while still beautiful in their own way

Oh, man, these are wonderful!! I haven't seen a fox in the wild for a long time. Hard to choose a favorite.

Excellent images but all would benefit from having more space around the fox that shows their environment. Better to leave space when taking the shot and having the option to crop later if you choose to do so. It is the difference between a subject ID photo and something that tells the viewer more about the animal.

There is also the concept of negative space which applies to wildlife photography as well as other forms. It is a counterbalance to the prime area where you want the viewer's eye to spend the most time. The "rule of thirds" incorporates this thinking in part.
