I was recently going through my older images and reprocessing them as I've had some down time in terms of my travel and actually taking photos. I found this image of a sort of unique (not in the valley) view of Yosemite.

This photo brings back great memories for me. I took it on our return hike from Half Dome. We started that morning out at 9am and finally make it back to the car right around 9pm. When we reached the top of Nevada Falls we took the John Muir trail back to the valley and were blessed with this amazing view of Half Dome, Liberty Cap and Nevada Falls. The atmosphere wasn't the most spectacular and it's a place I can't wait to get back to. Hope you guys enjoy and all C&C is appreciated.

Hey Brock,

I always like that view of Half Dome because it is different. That whole hike is amazing just from all the different looks that Half Dome gives. You didn't have any clouds here, but you had some nice soft light.

Thanks for viewing Jim! Like most National Parks there is so much more beyond what your car can take you to - it just takes some effort to get there. Clouds would have for sure made this better and if I had made to around the corner to this vantage about 5 min earlier the entire west face of Liberty Cap was glowing with the last light.
