Here's a shot of 213-foot Elowah Falls, one of my favorite waterfalls in the Columbia River Gorge, from last spring. It was a gray, misty day that was perfect for a short hike and some waterfall photography in the Gorge. I spent a couple of hours wading around in McCord Creek, trying different compositions. I was happy that the water flow was just right that day to capture the type of foreground I wanted for this shot.

Sweet one, great composition, nice job keeping the greens so true to life and the shutter speed high enough to impart just the right amount of energy.

Thanks for the comments. I'll probably return to this location at some point in the spring, and I'll keep your feedback in mind as I search out new compositions.

I like the placement of the waterfall above the rock with the flow of the creek on either side.

Thanks! I love spending time wading around in that creek and trying different compositions. It's been a bit different each time I've been, and it's fun to see what new possibilities are there, particularly with regard to the flow of water in the foreground. I'm glad you like this one!
