I was luck enough to capture this nice sunset out at Montauk this past Saturday. We had to trek a little and got our feet wet but well worth it Thanks for looking!
Nice views here both ways. I like the composition of #1 better, but I like the look of the water better in #2. I think the water that should be white is too blue in #1, the water feels more natural in #2.
Thanks Jim! I see what you mean about the blue cast on the water in my first photo. I'll see what I can do about it I wish I could merge the water from #2 to the #1

Really lovely images. I'd love to capture something like that. If you do not mind my asking, how did you manage to not blow out the sky at 25 seconds? Did you use a ND filter of some sort?
Thanks RBark! Yup, I used LEE Filters Little Stopper 6 stop ND to get a 25 sec exposure in my first image. I think I would have been better off not using it and stopping down to f/22 like the second image. The water has too much movement. Next time. I also used a 0.9 GND soft edge for both images to tone down the sky.
